LaGrange Police Department to hold Citizens Police Academy Starting September 14th, Public Invited to Participate

 The LaGrange Police Department is now accepting applications for citizens to participate in its Citizens Police Academy starting Tuesday, September 14th from 6:00-8:30 p.m.

This class is free and open to the public.

The Citizens Police Academy will take place every Tuesday for ten weeks starting Tuesday, September 14th and ending Tuesday, November 23rd.

The classes will be at the LaGrange Police Department Training Center at 376 Aerotron Parkway, 6:00-8:30PM.

This class is intended to foster community relations and inform citizens of day to day police operations. Some of the topics covered include Constitutional law, patrol operations and criminal investigations. Those who complete the class will have a better understanding of police conduct and legal authority.

All applications must be completed by Monday, September 8th. The class will close at 18 applicants.
