Have you ever wondered why film festivals attract so many artists and supporters?

Don’t miss the chance to find out for yourself andbe a part of the Southern Film Festival’s opening indowntown LaGrange, Georgia this weekend!
Film Festivals are the perfect place for original storytellers to develop an audience for their creative voices and for guests to see the incredible potential in the works of art that are shown. Many festival films could easily enter into what is considered to be the mainstream movie industry. However, this form of artistic expression offers much more than box office fame. It is the chance to see and feel the passion and creativity of talented artists who know how to engage their viewers through laughter, tears, surprise, impact, and simple enjoyment.
Enabling and supporting a passion for the arts is the foundation of LSPA’s purpose and the Lafayette Theatre Academy is honored to be the host of this amazing experience for our community. We are also grateful for the opportunity to premiere our first LTA film production, “Exit” at the start of each festival day!
“Film Festivals importantly offer a platform for our young filmmakers to present their creative ideas; their singular stories and storytelling; their talent and skill in their making and, not least, their passion to communicate how they feel and think about the world they live in. These are things they share with us, the audience, and with other filmmakers, whether they are making more familiar live action drama or provocative experimental film.”- Annabelle Pangborn, Leeds School of Arts
