The LaGrange Symphony Orchestra continues its 2011-2012 concert series with Christmas with the LSO at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 13, in Callaway Auditorium. The concert will feature a performance of Vivaldi’s Gloria by the LaGrange High School Chorus led by LaGrange native Katie Westbrook. Other selections include traditional holiday favorites and an always popular Christmas sing-a-long.
Ms. Westbrook, who is in her fourth year as the director of the LaGrange High School Chorus, holds a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts from LaGrange College and has studied voice with Marty Davis, Teresa Hopkin, and Dr. Toni Anderson.
“We are proud to have Katie Westbrook and the LaGrange High School Chorus performing during our Christmas concert. Collaborating with local performing groups is an important way that the LSO fulfills its mission of enriching our community through music,” said Dave Marler, LSO Executive Director.Dr. Toni Anderson will provide a brief preview of the evening’s music beginning at 7:30 p.m. sharp.Concertgoers are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets in advance from the Symphony office by calling 706.882.0662 prior to the day of the concert. Tickets will also be sold, pending availability, at the Callaway Auditorium box office beginning at 7:00 p.m. the night of the concert. Doors will open at 7:00 p.m., and concertgoers are encouraged to arrive early.Adult tickets are $25 for Mezzanine seating and $15 for seats in the Orchestra and Gallery. Special value seats in the first four rows of the Orchestra section are available for $5. All tickets for students sixth grade and older are $5. Children fifth grade and younger are admitted free with an adult.
