PINE MOUNTAIN, GA (10/31/2014) – Join Santa’s lovely bride for a fun hour of storytelling and cupcake decorating! Children also will make a bag of reindeer food to take home for Rudolph’s Christmas Eve visit. This event is designed for children ages 12 and younger, and at least one accompanying adult.


“Story Time with Mrs. Claus” is available every Saturday and Sunday beginning Nov. 22 through Dec. 21, 2014.  There are two Saturday sessions to choose from:  1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. and one Sunday session at 1 p.m.


The cost is $11 per person ages 2 and older. Taxes and service fees are additional. Reservations are required for each person attending.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.  Ages 2 and younger are admitted for free but require a “free child’s ticket” when placing the order.


Father Christmas, a.k.a. Santa, is available nightly for photos, 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. inside the Fantasy In Lights Christmas Village Nov. 21 through Dec. 24, though he may take a break during the evening.  No admission or ticket is required to access the Christmas Village, which also features shopping and dining.

Chamber announces Winter Wonderland Big Expo set for December 4 at Summit Family YMCA in Newnan
 The holidays will be here before you know it, and The Chamber will be among the first to kick off the holidays in Coweta County when it hosts the Winter Wonderland Big Expo at the Summit Family YMCA in Newnan on Thursday, December 4, 2014.


Presented by Delta Community Credit Union, this event will showcase local businesses to the public and is packed with fun-for-the-whole-family activities. The expo is Coweta’s biggest and most influential business exposition, featuring the newest products and services in Coweta and the metro Atlanta business market. The event is expected to draw 100 exhibitors and nearly 1,500 visitors.


Those attending can meet Santa and his Elves, tour Santa’s Workshop, and enjoy “Cider and Santa” networking. There will be fun and festive crafts for children, and everyone will enjoy hearing the Christmas carols wafting through the air as they enjoy sweet holiday treats. New for 2014 is the Jingle Bell Shop, a one-stop holiday shop offering amazing gifts and services. Gifts purchased at the expo can be wrapped at the convenient gift-wrapping station.


The Winter Wonderland Big Expo will be held from 1-7 p.m. on December 4, 2014, at the Summit Family YMCA, 1765 E. Highway 34, Newnan. General Admission tickets are $5 each.

Tickets are on sale now for the 9th Annual Concert of Thanksgiving and Praise.


This year’s concert will feature The LaGrange Civic Chorale as the first community choir to perform “Te Deum” a masterwork by Dr. Rene’ Clausen.


On Memorial Day of this year nineteen members of the Choral Society traveled to New York to be part of the World Premier performance of this work.   As a result, Dr. Clausen personally granted rights to the Choral Society to perform his work.


Tess Malis Kincaid, a LaGrange native and accomplished actress known for roles in numerous television and stage performances will narrate this Thanksgiving tradition opening concert.


Tickets are $15 in advance ($20 at the door) and may be purchased from Plum Southern, The White Orchid, The Marketplace or any member of the Choral Society of West Georgia.
