A Christmas Carol at Academy Theatre
Hapeville, GA. –For years A Christmas Carol has shared its timeless message of redemption and the spirit of Christmas. This December at Hapeville Elementary School follow the magical journey of Ebenezer Scrooge, the lonely miser who discovers joy, generosity, and the spirit of the season.With ghosts, carolers, live music, and Charles Dickens himself The Academy Theatre is kicking off the Holiday Season with a show the whole family will love.
Lynna Schmidt, Director of Christmas Carol says, “This is a lovely, family friendly production. We hope you will join this outstanding cast as we celebrate the holiday season and learn what the true meaning of Christmas is for Mr. Scrooge. Happy Holidays from our family to yours.”
This is Academy Theatre’s second annual presentation of Schmidt’s adaptation. Most of the beloved cast from last year’s show will be returning to the stage, including Dan Brown, who plays Charles Dickens and Bob Cratchit, and Steve Martin, who plays Ebenezer Scrooge. “I’m excited to be back! This is going to be a fun, festive show!”, says Brown. Academy Theatre invites you to enjoy this time honored favorite and make reservations now.
This show is appropriate for all ages.

Starry Night in Newnan – A Celebration of the Season

4:30 – 7:30 pm

We invite the community to join us for a family-friendly event to kick-off the holiday featuring photos with Santa, kid’s activities including train rides, refreshments (hot chocolate, hot cider, milk and cookies) and carolers. The event will conclude with the lighting of the star on top of the hospital.

Santa Claus will arrive at 4:30pm for photos in front of the fireplace in our lobby and we will provide a free commemorative photo.
