West Point Lake beaches open for the 2017 season

West Point Project announces the opening of the three beach locations at Earl Cook, Rocky Point and Yellowjacket Recreation Areas. For the 2017 season, these beaches will open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. EST, seven days a week from May 20 to Sept.4. For more information about beach operations, purchasing a day-use pass and making shelter reservations, please contact the West Point Project Management Office at 706-645-2937.

The LaGrange Art Museum is partnering with Columbus State University and the Kohler Foundation for the fall Opening of Pasaquan, a seven-acre art environment consisting of six major structures, more than 900 feet of painted masonry fence, painted totems, decorative walkways, sculptures, and other art and artifacts. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is considered among the most important visionary art environments in the United States. “One of the top 16 places to see in the US in 2016.” – CNN.
