20th CLCP Corporate/Community Spelling BEE


Join us for the 20th annual CLCP Corporate Community Spelling Bee to raise awareness for literacy needs and available resources in Troup County. Hills & Dales Estate Photography Contest


During the months of March through July, we invite contestants of all ages to submit photographs taken at the estate via the website. Categories include Landscape, Plant & Flower, Architecture, People and Wildlife, and all submissions will be done online. Contestants are encouraged to submit up to three pictures, and winners will be announced at a special reception on August 14. The Grand Prize Winner will receive $250, and category winners will be awarded $100 each. Winning photographs will be exhibited in the Visitor Center through September for all estate visitors to enjoy. For more information and to submit your photo, visit hillsanddales.org/contest.

Moo’ve it with your friends and family at the Chick-fil-A Awesomesauce Road Race on The Thread at Granger Park, on the field behind St. Marks Episcopal Church. Proceeds from the race will benefit the mission of the WinShape Camps for Communities to help provide scholarships for children to attend week-long camp.

West Georgia Choral Arts Festival


Join us for the third annual West Georgia Choral Arts Festival at Callaway Auditorium on the campus of LaGrange College.

Choral groups will include choirs from Point University, LaGrange College, Voices of the Valley Children’s Chorus, Faithful Hearts Women’s Ensemble, LaFayette Christian School, Phi Mu Alpha Men’s Chorus from Columbus State University, The MasterChorale from Newnan and the host choir, The Choral Society of West Georgia.

The clinician for the 2018 concert will be Dr. Michelle Herring-Folta, Professor of Music Education at Columbus State University and director of the Voices of the Valley Children’s Chorus. The Concert is free and open to the public as a gift to the community from the Choral Society of West Georgia.
